Superbowl

Thanks to Penelope, our American English teacher, we are learning a lot of things related to the American culture. This week we've learnt about Superbowl, the American football match played last Sunday. She's told us about Superbowl, American football and all around that popular game in the USA.

    Hi, I'm Ismael from 3ºA and I really liked the explanation that Penelope told us.

    I found it curious because I didn't know the number of chicken wings that the people ate at the final of the Superbowl. It was 1,250 millions chicken wings!!!!

    I love the explanation of Penelope about the Superbowl.
    The thing that the most surprised me was the large number of people who attend this sporting event.
    Also the table made of food was very surprised.
    I learned a lot of new things like the typical food: Potato skins, Buffalo wings...

    Hi! The explanation about the Super Bowl was very interesting, I learnt things that I didn't know before such as the very high prize that companies have to pay for having a 30 seconds commercial!! I didn't know either that people have like typical food that they eat while watching football and that many people which don't fancy watch football likes watching this event once a year!!! There were a lot of curious fatcts... Thank you Penelope!

    For example the length of the quarters. I got impressed about the followers that saw this event. It is a very famous event. Also it has a a half time show which I think it is the only sport that has this show. Thank you Penelope.

    Hello I am Araceli Escudero 1ºA .I didn´t know anything of this sport.I've been impressed the people entering in the stadium, and dollars that the people have to pay to see it in the stadium. I loved the traditional food that is eaten in the superbowl. It is very very interesting.

    I learnt many things last day with Penelope's class about the superbowl because I don't now anything about american football as the name of the teams. We are lucky to have an american teacher as Penelope because she can teach us many things that a Spanish teacher can't now.
    I think it was a good class and I'm expecting for other one if it's possible.

    Penelope's last class was fantastic.
    I listen to the news that the ticket prices were high, but $10000, I can understand that this show will generate a great expectation, but I think that it is not necessary to pay so much, since it is possible to see it televised.
    I think it is very positive, have a native teacher, helps us to improve the pronunciation or to learn more about American culture.
    The food, it looks very appetizing.
    I really liked the presentation, as well as seems very interesting to me.
